This franchise was created by Jordan Mechner. Prince of Persia released in 1989, was noted for its fluid animation of human figures. This game was desenvolved for Apple II e IBM PC.Through the various titles, the series has been developed and published by many different companies: the first two games in the series, Prince of Persia(1989 video game) and Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and The Flames (1994), were developed by Brøderbund; in recent years Ubisoft has developed the games, starting with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003). Originally it was primarily a side-scrolling platform video game, the franchise has evolved to three-dimensional action-adventure games, and even spawned a film.
